Friends of Camp Bashore Open House Weekend-  August 22-24, 2008

Registration begins at 4:00pm on Friday- Families & Individuals pay $6 for the weekend, Scouting Units are FREE!! Campsites are available on a 1st-come 1st-serve basis. Travel Trailers are welcome, although there are NO HOOK-UPS.

BBQ Chicken Dinners (w/ Baked Potato, Corn, Cake, Beverages) are available on Saturday evening for a cost of $7.00 each. Tickets must be purchased in advance by calling John Bates at (717) 865-6831. Deadline is August 18th.

Saturday activities include: Rifle Range, Boating & Canoeing, Archery Range, Swimming Pool

Live Music by the Goose Creek Boys followed by Bingo on Saturday evening

Annual Campmaster's Picnic-  August 24, 2008 1:00pm

Attention all Campmasters and those interested in serving as a Campmaster in the upcoming 2008-09 season.... It's that time of year again!! We are holding our annual picnic at Bashore Scout Reservation at the Dining Hall.  We always have plenty of food- we just need to know how many to prepare for- so please call Win Hall, Campmaster Chairman as soon as possible!

Bring your calendars! You'll be able to sign up for the weekend(s) you want to serve at Mack or Bashore.

We'll be going over the newly revised Campmaster Guidebook.

SCOUT CAMP BENEFIT RIDE

SUNDAY OCTOBER 5, 2008

Ride departs Bashore Scout Reservation…...    1:30pm

Riders are invited to tour camp, visit vendor displays, and visit the camp trading post where items of Boy Scout and camp memorabilia may be purchased.

The ride ends at J. Edward Mack Scout Reservation after a scenic ride through Lancaster and Lebanon Counties. Riders are again invited to tour camp, visit vendor displays, and visit the camp trading post, where they may make purchases.

Refreshments and a picnic dinner will be served to pre-registered (a limited amount will be available for purchase at the door).

 The proceeds will benefit both camps which are year round Scout Camps for youth age 7 to 18 and young adults to age 21. Your contribution will make a difference in this important program.
