Shocktober 28-30, 2011 Back again for the 7th season, Camp Bashore's Haunted Trail has become a great tradition and activity for everyone! Boy Scout Troops and Venture Crews set up scary stations along trails and in some buildings around camp. Cub Packs & Dens get to go through the trail and enjoy the scary & fun activities followed by a snack around a bon-fire. The event is held no matter what the weather forecast is, since we have the flexibility of using the Barn & Dining Hall. Each year the event grows, and we've had units from all over the PA Dutch Council as well as several from neighboring councils in attendance. New for this year is a Haunted Hay Ride! The cost for Cub Packs is $3 per person (scouts, siblings, adults, leaders) which covers trail admission, hayride, and crackerbarrel. The event starts on Saturday evening at 6:30pm and should finish by 8:30pm. Pre-registered units will be given priority admission (allowed to go first in line). There is no charge for Scout Troops other than the normal cost of a campsite or cabin rental from the PA Dutch Council. CHAINSAW SAFETY COURSE - NOV 5, 2011 This special BSA training course is being held for any adults who wish to become certified to use a chainsaw on camp property (Bashore or Mack). This is a hands-on course, teaching chainsaw safety, proper cutting techniques, maintenance, and lots more. Lunch will be provided, and the best part is that attendance is FREE!!
